Scientific Programme

The use of standard tools such as FACE tools combined with the increasingly routine use of electronic data collection systems means that there is the potential for the establishment of large central databases of anonymised FACE data which can be used for a variety of scientific purposes including:

  • Outcomes research
  • Population profiling
  • Development of statistical norms
  • Service evaluation
  • Audit
  • Clinical research

In order to support such activities we have an agreement with University College London to base our central database at CORE, the British Psychological Society’s Centre for Outcomes Research and Effectiveness.

Further details of the programme, including how to register your local project with the programme will be available in September 2007. In the meantime if you have a local project that you feel may be of interest do contact us and we will be happy to discuss our planned approach on an informal basis.
