FACE Codes

FACE represents and organises all content using 'FACE Codes' – a new type of coding system that embeds measurement properties in their design, thus making them especially suitable for large-scale data aggregation.

The FACE Codes contain about forty thousand data elements organised in a logical, tree-like hierarchical structure. Domains covered include:

  • Personal and social history
  • Psychological well-being
  • Physical well-being
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Social circumstances
  • Risk to self and others
  • Quality of life
  • Experience of treatment and care·
  • Care plans and interventions
  • Diagnosis (ICD-10, DSM-IV)

Using the FACE Content Manager it is possible to set up different subsets of elements or views designed for use in diverse care settings or with different care groups.
