Data Dictionary


All FACE Toolsets are incorporated within the 'FACE Data Dictionary' – an electronic content and data management system comprising over 50,000 items covering all aspects of a person's health and social functioning, circumstances and care. As well as FACE Assessment Toolsets the library incorporates many other established tools and standard data items. Key features include:

  • Extendable to include new data elements or tools.
  • Able to create 'views' for reporting or analytical purposes.
  • Data is held in a language-independent format which permits seamless translation from one language to another  or from one terminology to another e.g. from the terminology of the professional practitioner to the terminology of the person.
  • Generates XML schemas to support data exchange.
  • Incorporates standard coding systems e.g. ICD-10, DSM-IV

These facilities makes the FACE Data Dictionary especially suitable for data collation across multiple sites and supports the creation of both integrated documentation systems and large-scale interactive knowledge bases.
